Dr. Christina Romero |
Dr. Christina Romero was born and raised in New York City. She attended Cornell University where she completed a B.S. in Animal Science in 2008. While at Cornell, she volunteered for several enrichment programs designed to socialize and enhance the lives of the research dogs on campus. Dr. Romero decided to pursue a career in the veterinary field and got her first job as a technician shortly after graduation. This decision eventually led to her working as a tech for three years at City Veterinary Care. While teching, she attended summer and night classes at Hunter College to complete vet school requirements. She left CVC in 2012 to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and then completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois, graduating in May of 2015. Dr. Romero pursued a one-year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center and was ecstatic to return to CVC as a veterinarian in July of 2016. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, pathology and emergency medicine. Outside of work, she loves hiking and baking. She lives in Harlem with her chihuahua, Sangria.
